Getting Started

How do I start tracking my baby?

When you first open Roary Baby, you'll be guided through creating a profile for your baby. Enter their name and birth date/time, set your daily feeding target, and you're ready to go! Just tap the big buttons to log feedings, diapers, and more.

How do I set my daily feeding goal?

During setup, you'll set an initial feeding target. You can change this anytime by going to Settings and adjusting the daily target. The app will show your progress toward this goal throughout the day.

Do I need to create an account?

No! Roary Baby works without requiring an email or password. We use anonymous authentication to keep things simple while still allowing you to sync data and share with family members.

Family Sharing

How do I invite family members?

As the profile owner, go to the Members section and tap "Create Invite Code". Share this code with your partner, grandparents, or caregivers. They can enter the code in their app to join your baby's profile. Note: codes expire after 5 minutes for security.

What's the difference between Owner and Member roles?

The Owner (the person who created the profile) can manage members, create invite codes, and delete the profile. Members can log all tracking events and view history, but cannot manage other members or delete the profile.

How do I remove a family member?

As the profile owner, go to Members, swipe left on the member you want to remove, and tap Delete. They will no longer have access to your baby's tracking data.

Data & Privacy

Is my data secure?

Yes! All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard security. We use Google Firebase, which provides enterprise-grade security. Only you and the family members you invite can see your baby's data.

Does the app work offline?

Yes! Roary Baby is designed to work offline. You can log events without an internet connection, and the app will sync your data automatically when you're back online.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete your baby's profile from the Settings menu. This will permanently remove all associated data. If you need help with data deletion, please contact us.

What is a Recovery Key?

When you create a profile, you'll receive a recovery key. Keep this safe! If you lose access to your device or need to recover your account, this key helps you regain access to your data.

Troubleshooting

My data isn't syncing

Check your internet connection and try refreshing the app. If you see a sync error indicator, try closing and reopening the app. If problems persist, contact us for help.

I forgot my recovery key

Unfortunately, if you've lost your recovery key and lose access to your device, we cannot recover your data. This is by design to protect your privacy. We recommend storing your recovery key in a secure place like a password manager.

The app is crashing

Please make sure you're running the latest version of Roary Baby and iOS 17.0 or later. If crashes continue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Your data is stored securely in the cloud and will sync back.
